FAQ's

What Portrait Sessions do you offer and what is the cost?
The Session Fee is the only fee due at the Portrait Session appointment time. All of our sessions include COLOR and Black & White Images. Weather permitting, we create both indoor and outdoor We offer three different sessions: Basic Option: $35 for 12-15 poses, Deluxe Session $45 for 20-25 poses, Location Session $60 for a Senior in the Burien area. We also offer a Studio Family Session for $100.

Do you offer indoor and outdoor choices?
Yes, weather permitting we try to do both indoor and outdoor poses.

Can I change clothes?
Yes, Seniors in past years usually have changed about three to five times. Feel free to bring props (music instruments, cars, boats, footballs, artwork, journals, books, letterman jackets, etc) to show off your interests and activities. Remember, you're only a senior once!

Can I bring a friend? A pet? A brother or sister?
Yes, there is no extra charge to bring an extra person or pet. We encourage you to bring your friends and family! Don't forget to bring a prop or two as well.

After the Session when are my proofs ready?
In about 7 to 10 working days, your Senior Preview/Proofs are ready. You may check out the proofs by leaving a $100 deposit. We loan the proofs to you with the understanding that you'll return them if you decide not to buy. We offer a number of different packages to choose from. You'll need to decide on a yearbook pose FIRST, and then pick the rest of your package out. Don't worry, we'll send an ordering worksheet with the proofs to help you out.

When are the proofs and my order due back to Hellriegel's Portrait Studio?
You need to return the proofs and your order to us in 7-10 working days. We'll let you know when your proofs are due back.

Do I have to pay for my package all at once?
No, you only need to send a 50% deposit to start your order. We accept credit cards, checks, money orders, and cash. We'll send an invoice out to let you know what your final balance is. Once it is paid in full we'll ship your order out.

Are the original proofs retouched? What about our final portraits?
The proofs are guides for you to order from. Please, be careful with them. We do all of our retouching from these images and you may want to buy them. Treat them with care! Yes, your final portraits are retouched, cropped, and placed into folders ready for gift giving. We can remove blemishes, zits, eye bags, scars, shaving nicks, people in the background, etc. We can crop your image closer if you wish. Just let us know! With over 30 years of experience, you can trust us to create a great looking portrait for you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us at 253-631-2901!
